Malaysians have been encouraged not to hold any celebratory gatherings following the appointment of Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the country's 10th Prime Minister

The word of caution comes from PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli who urged the public, especially PH supporters, to avoid any risk of provocation.

"Be careful with any content or messages on social media that can cause concern or be used as an excuse for provocation," he wrote in a statement on Facebook today, 24 November.

"We must all move forward and learn to work together to rebuild Malaysia for the sake of the future and prosperity of every Malaysian."

Rafizi pointed out that PH and PKR leaders have also not issued any statements after Anwar's appointment

He explained that this is to respect the urgent need to ensure harmony at this time.

The PKR leader also advised supporters to be careful of media statements issued by other political leaders.
