But all eyes turned to the King when he wanted to take a sip of water

While delivering his speech which touched on important national issues such as education, health and security, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V stopped and reached out to open a bottle of water.

"Sekejap... minum air kejap." (One moment...need to take a drink.)

This happened yesterday, 6 March, when His Majesty was officiating the first meeting of the fifth session of the 13th Parliament.

The MPs and others who were present at the venue were smiling, amused to see His Majesty opening a bottled water and drinking it so casually.

The King's spontaneous act was caught on live TV. Watch it here if you missed it:

Netizens who watched the video praised His Majesty and said that they have great respect for such a humble man.

"I'm proud to have him as my ruler!" a comment read.

"This is one of the most humble leaders in this country! I pray Allah will continue to bless His Majesty with good health," another person said.

Even before he was elected as the 15th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the rakyat has always praised His Majesty for being a humble king who is down-to-earth and easy to approach.

Malaysians love Sultan Muhammad V for his sincerity and his interest about the people's welfare without making a fuss about it on the media.
