Did you know you are eligible for an annual voucher worth RM150 under the Skim Mesra initiative if you are a Selangor voter aged 60 and above or a person with disabilities?

According to the New Straits Times, new applications for Skim Mesra begin today, 17 September, with a special quota of 50,000.

State Women, Family, and Welfare Committee chairperson Anfaal Saari said the scheme provides an annual financial incentive of RM150 from the state government as a token of appreciation for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (OKU) during their birth month.

As of today, there are a total of 374,094 Skim Mesra receipients, comprising 344,625 senior citizens and 29,469 OKU members.

The vouchers can be used at designated supermarkets and must be used within three months of redemption.

They can be redeemed at DUN service centres by presenting your MyKad for verification. Distribution will begin in 2027.
