Sabah FC Player Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting His Celebrity Doctor Girlfriend

Yesterday, 8 June, a local influencer took to social media to share how her boyfriend, a player for Sabah Football Club, abused and physically assaulted her

In a video posted on Instagram, the medical doctor who has more than 32,000 followers, revealed the bruises that her boyfriend allegedly inflicted on her.

"Assaulted by the man I love. We promised to grow old together," she wrote in the caption.

The aesthetician also wrote that she is very traumatised by the incident, which happened on 7 June at Le Méridien Petaling Jaya.

According to the woman, her boyfriend allegedly hit her on the head, choked her, and bit both her hands before throwing her to the ground where she sustained more injuries

During the incident, she also alleged that he broke and threw her phone into the toilet.

After her boyfriend left the hotel room, the influencer contacted the police to make a report.

According to Harian Metro, a source disclosed that the football player had been abusing his girlfriend for some time.

Following the report, the police has confirmed detaining the football player from a hotel room in Petaling Jaya yesterday evening, 8 June

According to Berita Harian, Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said, however, the suspect was released on police bail on the same day, while the police are carrying out investigations.

"The case is being investigated under Section 323/427 of the Penal Code for causing injury and committing mischief," said the police chief.
