A doting pet owner from China has gone viral after spending four months building an incredibly detailed miniature underground station for his two cats
Xing Zhilei, a DIY creator from Henan province, revealed the project on 16 August, and a video of it has since garnered more than 100 million views online.
The tiny station features a scaled-down platform, safety doors, a miniature train that runs on a track, and even functioning escalators.

The project was so realistic that many viewers thought it was AI-generated
In response to the online speculation, Xing posted clips showing that every detail was handmade, from the train carriages to the whimsical station names like 'Cat Town' and 'Catnip Hill'.
"Whenever a problem came up, we just fixed it," Xing said in the video.
"My resolve never wavered, and after many failures, the station finally came together."

This is not the first elaborate project by the influencer. Boasting 1.2 million followers, Xing previously built a luxury cat apartment with a working lift
The cat flat featured three bedrooms, two living rooms, and a kitchen with taps that produced real running water and a working stove.
Xing explained in past videos that he is self-taught, having learned various skills such as 3D modelling, carpentry, and welding to bring his creations to life.
Many online praised Xing for his ingenuity and resourcefulness.
