Thai Woman Hides RM1.5 Million Lottery Win From Husband & Denies Their Marriage Afterwards
The woman claims that they were no longer together, and that he had broken up with her over a phone call.

A Thai man filed a lawsuit against his wife for hiding lottery prize money totaling THB12 million (RM1.5 million) from him
According to Thaiger, the man sought help from a local lawyer named Narong Kaewpetch to file a lawsuit against his wife on Saturday, 11 March.
The 47-year-old husband, named Narin, revealed that he and his wife, 43-year-old Chaweewan, have been married for over 20 years, and have three daughters together.
He said that in 2014, the family had a debt of over THB2 million (RM250,000), and decided to move to South Korea to earn a higher salary, in hopes of paying off their debt.
Narin added that he continued working in South Korea after his wife had returned to Thailand to raise their daughters. Since then, he claimed to have transferred around THB27,000 to THB30,000 (RM3,500 to RM3,800) to his wife every month to help pay for his family's expenses.
Narin rushed back to Thailand on Friday, 3 March, after he learned about the prize money from his daughters
Narin, who planned to confront his wife who had been ignoring his calls, was shocked to discover that she had remarried a police officer only a week earlier, on Saturday, 25 February.
"I was shocked and didn't know what to do. I am disappointed and I didn't expect my wife of twenty years to do this to me. I only have THB60,000 (RM7,000) left in my bank account because I gave money to her every month. I want justice and the money that I deserve," said Narin as reported by the Thai daily.
With all that said, he admitted that his marriage with Chaweewan did not have an official marriage certificate, to which his lawyer explained that it does not matter as relatives and friends who knew about their relationship would be enough to justify their situation.
Narong said that Narin has a right to the money as any asset acquired during their relationship must be shared even after they break up or divorce.
Following his lawsuit, his wife also filed a complaint against Narin for defamation, stating that the couple were no longer together at the time of winning the lottery
According to Chaweewan, she did not inform Narin about the lottery prize because he had broken up with her over a phone call several years back, adding that her neighbours know about the call.
She said that her ex-husband never sent her the amount he claimed to have sent, but instead transferred around THB3,000 to THB4,000 (RM390 to RM520) to their daughters' bank accounts every month.
