A BMW driver was caught on camera speeding away after colliding into three different motorcyclists within the span of an hour

One of the incidents first came to light when Facebook user Imran Abdul Jabar uploaded dashcam footage on Sunday, 13 February, of his brother, who works as a Grab delivery rider.

Imran's brother was hit by a black BMW on a road near The Mines in Seri Kembangan.

"Alhamdulillah, my brother is okay. The injuries were light. However, his motorcycle and source of income were affected," he wrote in the caption.

On the same day, two other videos surfaced of the same vehicle knocking down two different motorcyclists on the Sungai Besi Expressway (BESRAYA)

Similar to the first incident, the car had driven into the motorcylists from behind and sped off while they fell to the ground.

The second and third dashcam footage show that the two incidents happened one after the other within the same minute at 3.57pm.

Imran said his family lodged a police report on the same day and hoped the other victims did the same.

In a report on Tuesday, 15 February, the police said they have successfully tracked down and arrested the BMW driver

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) deputy chief Supt Zulkafli Chek Lah told Kosmo that a 37-year-old suspect was brought in to New Salak South police station for questioning.

"Investigations found that the suspect is a mentally ill patient and has now been detained at the University of Malaya Medical Center's (UMMC) psychiatric ward," he said.

The case is being investigated under Section 43 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
