[VIDEO] Man Slashes 24-Year-Old Over Parking Dispute In Kepong
The suspect claimed that the victim attacked him first.
A man has been arrested for slashing a 24-year-old part-time worker following a disagreement over a blocked parking space in a residential area in Kepong
According to Harian Metro, the incident occurred around 6pm yesterday, 4 September.
Sentul district police chief ACP Ahmad Sukarno Mohd Zahari said the 28-year-old male suspect slashed the victim with a 32cm-long knife.
Several videos circulating on social media show the man hitting the victim while bystanders attempt to intervene.
A person recording the incident claims that the suspect used a machete, although the slashing was not captured in the videos reviewed by SAYS.
In one of the videos, the suspect can be heard saying that the victim attacked him first.
Ahmad Sukarno said the suspect was arrested at the scene at 6.45pm
The victim was rushed to the hospital and received 35 stitches. Buletin TV3 reported that he is currently in stable condition.
The suspect will be remanded for investigation under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt with a weapon.
