These Six Klang Valley Districts Will Face Water Cuts For Up To 86 Hours

The shutdown will affect 577 areas in the Klang/Shah Alam, Petaling, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Langat, and Kuala Selangor districts.

Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) will cut water supply for over four million consumers from Wednesday, 24 April, due to upgrading works

Malay Mail reported yesterday, 18 April, that the water disruption will be due to an urgent power supply system upgrade at the Selangor River Phase 2 Water Treatment Plant.

The upgrading works will be carried out from 9am to 11pm, but some places may take up to 86 hours for full restoration of water supply.

The shutdown will affect 577 areas in the following six districts:

1. Klang/Shah Alam

Syabas advises that all consumers store sufficient water before the date of the disruption

According to Malay Mail, Air Selangor will take steps to minimise the impact of the water supply disruption on consumers.

These include providing water tankers, static tanks, public taps, water refilling stations, and also distribute bottled water to those affected.

10 Local Services Centres (LSCs) will also be activated from 8am on Friday, 26 April, at the following locations:
