With matches spread across the US, Canada, and Mexico, World Cup 2026 kick-offs for Malaysians will mostly fall between 3am and 10am

But if you'd rather scream at missed penalties with a crowd instead of alone in your living room, plenty of bars, mamaks, and sports spots around KL and PJ are already gearing up for the World Cup season.

RTM and Unifi TV have officially been confirmed as Malaysia's broadcasters, with all 104 matches set to air across their platforms.

Here are some places around KL and Selangor where football fans can catch the action:

1. Bar Roca KL

Bar Roca is planning to open specially for many of the big World Cup matches, especially those happening in the early morning hours.

The team also said they're working on a breakfast menu because, realistically, some games will run from around 3am all the way to 10am. They're even planning to add more projectors for the tournament.

So yes, there's a good chance you'll be eating breakfast while watching extra time.

Score The Sports Bar says matches kicking off before 3am will definitely be screened.

For major matches like the semi-finals and finals, they may extend opening hours until around 5am, though they've asked fans to stay tuned for updates closer to the tournament.

7. Downunder Bar KL

Downunder Bar says they've already started putting together a list of matches they'll be able to screen.

However, because many games fall outside standard operating hours, some screenings will depend on approval for extended opening hours during the World Cup period.

Like many bars in KL, they're dealing with the reality that most places legally close around 3am.
