Good news, Grab has officially launched their new Saver Delivery option to help you save more on food deliveries

This move was done in an effort to make their services more accessible and affordable to Malaysians. It is officially available now after a trial run back in November 2022. Nais!

Essentially, the Saver Delivery feature lets you order your food with a delivery charge from as low as RM1, in exchange for a slightly longer delivery time. It works by grouping together orders in the same direction so a delivery-partner can handle it all in one go.

Keep in mind that the feature is only applicable to certain merchant-partners, depending on several factors like time and location. Drivers and riders who need to make these deliveries are also compensated the same as other delivery options — yay!

Aside from Saver Delivery, users can choose either Direct Delivery or Standard Delivery

Grab also introduced Direct Delivery for people who want their food to arrive on their doorstep ASAP.

Out of the three different delivery options, Direct Delivery offers the shortest delivery time for consumers. So, you can opt for it if you don't mind spending a bit more to receive your order faster.

Of course, you can also choose Standard Delivery, where you can expect your food to be delivered in the usual timeframe.

According to Director of Commercial and Deliveries at Grab Malaysia, Jiong Jin Tan, it's necessary to continuously enhance their service by making it more affordable while catering to consumer demands

By making food delivery more accessible to consumers, Tan is confident that it will also benefit their delivery-partners and merchant-partners alike by spurring additional income opportunities.

"In addition to having the widest range of restaurants Malaysians love, Saver Delivery now allows us to offer our lowest delivery fee option nationwide.

"We hope that with these enhancements, we're able to serve even more Malaysians across the country and bring them accessible convenience that suits their lifestyle,” said Tan.
