PRO-NET has expanded its electric vehicle line-up with the launch of the new Proton e.MAS 7 Premium Plus at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026
The latest variant builds upon the market success of Malaysia's first national electric vehicle (EV) by introducing a larger battery system alongside upscale interior comfort enhancements.
This introduction highlights the brand's largest electrified mobility showcase to date, held under the theme 'Kuasa e.MAS, Powering Malaysia Forward'.
The brand's expansion comes amid significant market momentum, with more than 23,700 Proton e.MAS vehicles currently on Malaysian roads
Notably, the brand's plug-in hybrid stablemate — the Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV — has solidified its position as Malaysia's top PHEV model, securing 2,936 deliveries year-to-date.
Visitors to the exhibition at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) can explore five core technologies anchoring this ecosystem, including the Global Modular Architecture (GMA), Cell-to-Body (CTB) engineering, the AEGIS Short Blade Battery, an 11-in-1 electric drive system, and dedicated hybrid powertrain technology.
At the core of the Premium Plus variant is an upgraded 68.39kWh AEGIS Short Blade Battery, which extends the vehicle's estimated driving range to up to 450km
This enhancement specifically addresses range anxiety for drivers undertaking cross-state journeys while retaining its practical urban capabilities.
Despite the expanded battery storage, the electric vehicle retains its fast-charging efficiency; it supports DC fast charging up to 115kW, which replenishes the battery from 30% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes.
Interior refinement represents the secondary focus of the new model, making it the first vehicle in its specific market segment to pair a 450km range with high-end relaxation features.
The cabin now features dual front massage seats alongside a powered front passenger seat featuring a four-way adjustment mechanism and built-in memory settings. An integrated passenger leg rest has also been added to improve comfort during long-distance grand touring.
To mark the vehicle's launch, PRO-NET is bundling the variant with a comprehensive 'Power Pack Plus' promotional campaign
This inclusive ownership package provides buyers with free trade-in processing, a complimentary 7kW home charging wallbox valued at RM1,500, a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) converter worth RM500, and five years of unlimited Internet data worth RM1,800.
Existing Proton owners who trade in their current vehicles will also receive an additional RM5,000 top-up bonus. Long-term reliability is supported by a six-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty, an eight-year or 160,000km high-voltage battery warranty, and a complimentary tonneau cover.

In terms of retail pricing (on-the-road without insurance), the Proton e.MAS 7 Premium Plus enters the Peninsular Malaysian market at RM125,800, while East Malaysian buyers can secure the model for RM128,800.
The standard Premium variant is priced at RM119,800 in the Peninsula (RM122,800 in East Malaysia), while the baseline Prime variant sits at RM103,800 (RM106,800 in East Malaysia).
However, the company has introduced a limited-time special launch rebate of RM7,000 across all three variants.
This promotional discount reduces the base price of the Premium Plus to RM118,800 in Peninsular Malaysia and RM121,800 in East Malaysia, while the entry-level Prime drops to RM96,000 for Peninsular buyers. The new variant is currently available for public viewing in Hall 7 at MITEC.
