Meet Lala, The Voice Behind The Oyen In Newly-Launched Indie Game 'Stray'
Every purr, snuffle, and hiss you hear in-game was voiced by this cutie!
If you haven't heard, indie game Stray just released last week on Steam, and has instantly become a bestseller
In the game, you play as a cat that can parkour, travel in a bucket, annoy other NPCs, and walk around the streets of a fictional cyberpunk city.
Stray recently made several headlines and garnered an overwhelming amount of positive reviews due to its endearingly hopeful cyberpunk world, refreshing take on a familiar genre and how adorable it is!
The cool thing is that every purr, snuffle, and hiss you hear in-game is completely authentic, woah! :O
In games, developers usually hire human voice actors to capture the voices of the characters in the game. This is because humans can imitate and adapt to a variety of sounds, emotions, and depth that's needed to make a character come to life.
However, Stray took a different turn for their character. Or should we say... "cat-racter".
Meet Lala, the voice behind the oyen in Stray
As if the encapsulating adventure title has not captured enough hearts already — Twitter user @jankenpopp revealed the voice actor for the game, and we have to say — she's pretty darn cute!
Fans are loving this reveal, and took the time to show their own little feline companions too
Nothing unites us more as human beings than things that make us "awwwww", and these reactions and cuddly companions definitely fit the bill.
Looks like humans aren't the only ones who were taken in by the beauty of Stray, cats love it too.
Aside from playing as a cat doing feline things in a cyberpunk world, Stray is about a lost kitty finding its way back home
The oyen prowls around the bleak landscapes of the dystopian cyberpunk world, in an attempt to be reunited with its family.
