Nothing has officially unveiled its latest hardware evolution with the global debut of the Phone (4a) series and the new Headphone (a)

Launched on Thursday, 2 April, the new lineup includes the Phone (4a) and the flagship-tier Phone (4a) Pro, both of which introduce Nothing's first-ever periscope telephoto lenses and a refined "technical warmth" design philosophy.

These devices arrive alongside Nothing OS 4.1, a software experience built on Android 16 that integrates advanced artificial intelligence to streamline daily multitasking and personal expression.

The Phone (4a) Pro serves as the pinnacle of the new series, featuring a precision-crafted metal unibody and a slim 7.95 mm profile, making it the thinnest device the brand has ever produced

This model introduces the Glyph Matrix, a sophisticated lighting interface composed of 137 mini-LEDs that provides sharper, more detailed notifications than previous generations.

To ensure durability, Nothing has equipped the Pro with IP65 dust and water resistance, alongside a reinforced frame capable of surviving submersion in 25cm of water for up to 20 minutes.

Photography stands as a major pillar of the 4a series, with both models sporting a 50MP 3.5x OIS periscope telephoto lens

The Phone (4a) Pro takes this further with a Sony LYT700c main sensor and a massive 140x zoom capability, the longest ever seen on a Nothing device.

Powered by the TrueLens Engine 4, the camera system supports Ultra XDR photography co-developed with Google, ensuring that highlights and shadows maintain natural contrast even in challenging lighting conditions.

This focus on high-end optics mirrors recent industry shifts seen in other 2026 flagships, such as the rumoured foldable iPhone, which also prioritises significant camera overhauls to capture consumer interest.

Performance is underpinned by the latest Snapdragon 7 series platforms, with the Pro model utilising the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 for a 65% boost in AI capabilities

The standard Phone (4a) employs the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, offering a balance of power and efficiency that yields extra hours of use compared to its previous models.

Both devices are powered by a 5080 mAh battery that supports 50W Fast Charging, a system that can charge 60% of the battery in just 30 minutes.

Alongside the smartphones, Nothing introduced the Headphone (a), a playful addition to their audio portfolio that boasts a remarkable five days of continuous listening on a single charge

These over-ear headphones feature Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and a bespoke 40mm titanium-coated driver to deliver high-resolution audio wirelessly through the LDAC codec.

Designed for all-day comfort, the 310g body includes breathable memory foam cushions and carries an IP52 rating for protection against sweat and light rain.

Early access events will be held on Saturday, 4 April at Crossover Sunway Pyramid and the Nothing Image Store in Plaza Lowyat, where customers can purchase the devices on a first-come, first-served basis.

Pre-orders are currently open until 9 April via official online channels and retail partners such as TMT and Urban Republic, with customers receiving an RM 100 discount and an extended one-year warranty during this period.
