Tesla's long-awaited electric SUV is finally being delivered to its owners

After a long wait of eight months since its availability for bookings in Malaysia, Tesla has finally delivered the first batch of Model Y vehicles to Malaysian customers.

This delivery marks a milestone for Tesla enthusiasts in Malaysia who have eagerly awaited the arrival of the Model Y, with its delayed appearance compared to the Model 3.

The Model Y comes kitted with a lot of helpful features

Acclaimed as the world's top-selling electric SUV and one of the safest vehicles on the road, with perfect five-star ratings from US's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Model Y embodies Tesla's commitment to safety, range, performance, and technology.

Designed with versatility in mind, the mid-size SUV offers over 2,100 litres of cargo space, accommodating up to five passengers and their belongings with ease. Equipped with ultra-responsive motors, the Model Y accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, while boasting an impressive WLTP range of up to 533 km on a single charge.

The Model Y also has luxurious features, including an all-glass roof, autopilot capabilities, advanced safety features, and a HEPA air filtration system. These enhancements ensure a comfortable and safe driving experience for passengers.

To give the public the chance to experience the all-electric Model Y and Model 3 firsthand, Tesla has opened its doors at its Cyberjaya and Pavilion Damansara Heights Experience Centres, where visitors can explore and test drive these models.

Tesla is further developing their support for owners in Malaysia

Tesla is committed to enhancing its sales, after-sales service, and charging infrastructure in Malaysia to ensure a convenient and seamless ownership experience for Tesla drivers.

Tesla has launched six Supercharging stations and eight destination charging stations across Malaysia. This network includes a total of 30 Superchargers and 37 destination chargers strategically located in major cities nationwide. Tesla plans to expand its charging infrastructure further, with ongoing efforts to build more charging stations and broaden coverage throughout Malaysia.
