Marvel's New Movie Trailer Features A Famous KL Building & We're Excited To Spot It!

It seems that a building in Kuala Lumpur will be making an appearance in Thunderbolts, an upcoming Marvel Studios movie, sparking immense excitement among netizens
The movie's latest three-minute trailer was released on YouTube yesterday, 23 September, and many observant Malaysians spotted the former Menara HSBC South Tower on Lebuh Ampang in the trailer.
In the scene, Florence Pugh's character, Yelena Belova, can be seen watching one of the floors of the building explode while talking on the phone.
A shop with the signage 'Kedai Kopi Kong Hoe' in Medan Pasar can also be seen clearly in the scene.

Both GSC and TGV Cinemas took to social media to celebrate Kuala Lumpur's inclusion in the trailer
Many netizens also posted side-by-side photos of the scene and the building.
Some netizens even claimed that the trailer also shows Yelena, along with five other characters, gathering on one of the floors of Merdeka 118
A skyline resembling Kuala Lumpur can be seen in the background at the two-minute-and-54-second mark.

This comes after a red carpet interview in July, in which Pugh revealed that the most daring stunt she did for the movie was "jumping off the second tallest building in the world".
Merdeka 118 is currently the second tallest building in the world.
