Recently, a video went viral on Weibo, showing a granddaughter getting into trouble after she pranked her grandmother by replacing the altar portrait of the Buddhist deity Guanyin with a picture of a golden Ultraman

In the viral video from China, the grandmother is seen confronting a girl, who is presumably her granddaughter, for her cheeky prank.

The grandmother went on to reprimand the girl in Hokkien, saying that her granddaughter's antics made her want to "vomit blood".

Standing between them is believed to be the girl's mother, who is seen laughing alongside her daughter at the situation.

"I'm going to be angered to death by you guys!" yelled the angry grandmother at the duo, who stood there chuckling.

Revered by both the Taoists and Buddhists, Guanyin is the Chinese translation of Avalokiteshvara, who is widely known as the Goddess of Mercy or bodhisattva (enlightened beings who are examples for believers to follow) of compassion.

Appropriately so, the grandmother couldn't help but crack a smile at her granddaughters prank, seemingly forgiving her for her joke.

The video has garnered over 1.4 million views at the time of writing, and the comments section is filled with mixed reactions towards the prank

Many viewers took note of the grandmother's final expression as she slowly broke out into a smile, with one commenting, "Granny couldn't hold back her laughter in the end."

Others, however, were less than happy with the prank, with one saying, "This kind of humour disrespects our elders very much."

One viewer went as far as to joke that maybe God does, in fact, look like Ultraman.

"How do you know Gods are not Ultraman? Can you (be sure) what God looks like?" questioned the viewer in the comments section.

Another viewer believed that as long as Guanyin was in her grandmother's heart during her prayers, it didn't matter that she was praying to a different portrait.
