While racial harmony would hardly be described as surprising in Malaysia, it still isn't any less joyful to see

One of these moments was recently captured by Malaysian freelance makeup artist, Yogesh, when she did the bridal makeup for one of her clients in Seremban.

Sharing the moment on TikTok, Yogesh stated how the bride, who is Malaysian-Indian, got ready for her engagement in her neighbour's house, who is Malay. Peeking through the window of their house to look next door into her own, the bride has a casual conversation with her neighbour about the decorations being set up in her house.

Yogesh likened the cute and seamless conversation between the duo to how siblings talk to each other.

When the time comes, the bride walks from her neighbour's house to her own. Yogesh also mentioned that there was no divider between the two houses, making the bride's journey that much simpler without needing to walk under the blistering heat.

"Truly harmonious, so heartwarming," wrote Yogesh on the video before it concluded.

The vast majority of responders, though, stated how watching the clip that displayed harmony between neighbours of different races warmed their hearts.

"Love this type of neighbour, very rare to get. Those who have this are so lucky and blessed," wrote one user.

Another user also stated how they love to see content like this out on social media, showing that there is unity among Malaysians of different races even till today.

"This is not a neighbour, this is family," added another user.

Some commenters even recalled a time in their past when this was very normal, especially for those who lived in the outskirts of the country.

"My Indian neighbours are like my siblings. If my house doesn't have rice, they will casually carry a bowl of their own into my house, hahaha. I do just the same for them," shared one user.
