A recent Facebook post about a kind exchange between a Malay woman and a stray dog has been going viral

In a video that was posted to the Facebook page of food product supplier, Hedy's, located in Johor, one woman who noticed a hungry dog by the store, decided to give it some nourishment.

Slowly walking towards the dog, the woman gives a piece of chicken to a man, who places it on the ground for the dog to eat. Uncertain at first, it sniffs the chicken a few times before ultimately biting into it. After a brief second, the dog picks the chicken up before trotting to a comfortable grassy spot to enjoy it.

Detailing the events which led to the moment, the woman who gave the dog the chicken explained how and why she decided to feed it in a caption plastered across the screen.

"After we finished eating today, we saw you. You've been staring at the store for awhile, haven't you? But we see the water in your eyes, as though something has happened. You are hungry. But you have no money, right? It's okay, mama will buy you fried chicken.

"You're shy, yes? You picked it up and ran far away. But it's okay, be comfortable and eat until you're full. Pray that blessings will shine on us," she wrote.
