It's not unheard of for wild dolphins to be spotted around Tioman Island, but when they are seen, it's a rare treat

Recently, a group of travellers on Sea Rascals, an adventure cruise in Tioman, spotted a pod of at least 20 to 30 dolphins swimming and playfully racing alongside their boat.
The crew's host, Storm, captured the exciting moment, which the crew mentioned only occurs a few times a year — if you're lucky.

Speaking to SAYS, Storm mentioned that the group was fortunate to encounter dolphin pods twice during their four-day trip
He also noted that they saw numerous calves and pregnant dolphins within the pods, which is an exceptionally rare sight.

In his videos, the dolphins can be seen leaping out of the water and swimming purposefully close to the boat, much to the excitement of the travellers
It's great to see that Malaysia's waters are a playground for these amazing creatures.
