The Habitat Penang Hill is bringing back their Starlight Camping experience, offering nature enthusiasts a unique opportunity to spend the night under the stars in the UNESCO-listed Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve.
With their two-day, one-night programme, you can immerse yourself in the rich and diverse 130-million-year-old rainforest well into the evening. The Habitat provides front-row seats to the beauty of the great outdoors, including dazzling light installations at the iconic Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk base.
Starlight Camping is conducted monthly on Saturdays and Sundays, making it a perfect nature getaway for friends and families.

Here's what's included in the two-day, one-night itinerary:
1. Enjoy a fast-lane access to the historic Penang Hill Funicular Train
With a round-trip ticket, you can sit back and relax as the train ascends through stunning scenery, offering a smooth transition from the vibrant streets below to the serene, refreshing atmosphere at the top.

2. Take a leisurely stroll through the Langur Way Canopy Walk
The meandering paths are surrounded by bioluminescent and biofluorescent flora and fauna, making it feel like you're walking through a fairytale under the stars.

3. Enjoy a spectacular sunset view from the Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk
Let the golden hues embrace you as daylight fades into dusk from Penang's highest vantage point and take in the stunning cityscape below illuminated by a beautiful glow.

4. Explore the park with a guided night walk, where you'll encounter the lively world of nocturnal creatures
After dark, the forest comes alive with the sights and sounds of its nocturnal inhabitants. Wander through the park, illuminated by soft lanterns and the natural glow of bioluminescent organisms.
Led by the park's knowledgeable rangers, learn about all the nocturnal fauna and flora, from the mysterious calls of owls and cicadas to the gentle rustling of flying lemurs gliding between trees.

5. Camp under the stars and be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the forest
Enjoy a hassle-free and relaxing night under the stars! Your Starlight Camping adventure includes a cosy accommodation for two, with each tent equipped with an inflatable mattress, pillows, and blankets for a comfortable night's sleep. You'll have access to shared facilities, complete with showers, water heaters, and basic toiletries like shower gel and shampoo to freshen up after a day of exploration.
As part of the package, a delicious dinner is provided on the first night, followed by a hearty breakfast the next morning, ensuring you're well-fueled for your nature-filled adventure.

6. Soar through the treetops with the park's Flight of the Colugo Zipline
The Flight of the Colugo Zipline offers an exhilarating way to take in the breathtaking beauty of Penang Hill's ancient rainforest. This adventure course consists of three thrilling zip lines, one abseil, and a rope bridge, letting you experience the forest from an awe-inspiring aerial perspective.
Named after the Sunda Colugo, also known as the Malayan Flying Lemur, this activity allows visitors to glide gracefully from tree to tree, mimicking the movements of this elusive creature.

- Children (4 to 12 years old): RM330 per person
Infants below the age of 3 enjoy free entry, however meals won't be provided.
