A new tropical forest retreat just opened and it's less than an hour's drive away from KL city.
Villa Takun is a beautiful glamping spot that's perfect for those looking for a peaceful getaway but don't want to travel too far from KL.
Surrounded by Templer Park's forest reserve, guests will be able to immerse themselves in nature and recharge without worrying about basic necessities.
There are three different types of accommodation at the resort, which include cosy A-frame huts, a classic caravan, and spacious Pampas and Dandelion rooms with stunning limestone hill views for couples or solo travellers
The A-frame huts come with an en-suite bathroom, a bathtub, air-conditioning, and a unique outdoor shower experience. There's also a smart TV where you can watch your favourite movies and shows.
Each hut can accommodate up to four people, as it comes with a loft queen-sized bed and sofa bed.
Designed in a minimalistic style, the Pampas or Dandelion rooms come with suspended sky hammocks where you can lay and enjoy picturesque views of Anak Takun Hill

Its signature courtyard offers an exclusive desert resort feel with a chic interior.
Another accommodation option is the classic caravan. It provides a serene setting, an outdoor bathtub to soak in, and a private courtyard to enjoy the sounds of a burbling stream nearby.
Compact yet spacious enough, the unique stay includes a super king-sized bed, an office desk, a projector, air-conditioner, a bar fridge, and more.
There's also a detached bathroom for extra comfort and privacy.
There's an outdoor and glasshouse café, Köré, where they serve homemade lunch sets, as well as coffee and tea
You might even be able to spot the retreat's friendly residents — a family of adorable ducks waddling around!
