Three directors of the Batu Pahat-based supplier Xin Jian Chang Sdn Bhd — Soh Chin Huat, Soh Hui San, and Goh Li Huay — were also given a discharge and acquittal.
According to Malaysiakini, Judge Muhamad Anas Mahadzir granted a discharge amounting to an acquittal to Chai, Loh, and the three company directors.
While the prosecution team applied for the withdrawal of charges via a discharge not amounting to an acquittal, the defence team argued that the case warranted a full acquittal.
