It's Official: PH-BN To Form State Govt In Negeri Sembilan
The Election Commission has now announced that the pact has won 22 seats.
The Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional (PH-BN) pact has officially won the Negeri Sembilan state election after securing majority seats
According to the Election Commission (EC), PH-BN has won 22 seats in Negeri Sembilan.
The number of seats won by the pact is enough to form the state government.
There are total 36 seats in the Negeri Sembilan state legislative assembly.
Meanwhile, the unity government presidential council will decide who will be its next menteri besar of the Negeri Sembilan
BN deputy chairperson Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, who successfully defended his Rantau seat, said the PH-BN pact will put forth credible candidates for the council to decide, reported New Straits Times.
"This will depend on the ministers (in the unity government) as well as the council who will discuss the best candidate to lead the state. We will suggest those with credibility and get the state ruler's approval. Hence, it is up to him to decide the most suitable candidate," he told reporters at the KL World Trade Centre.
