E-hailing services in Malaysia continue to expand, with Bolt recently entering the market, followed closely by the launch of Lalamove Rides.

And now, there's Kumride.

Kumpool, which rebranded as Kummute, has launched its own e-hailing service called Kumride. And apparently, it's been around for several months now.

So, what's Kumride all about? Unlike regular e-hailing options, Kumride focuses on set pick-up and drop-off zones within a range of 3km to 7km.

It's not your typical point-to-point service but more like a shared ride between these zones.

Right now, Kumride is operating in select areas, including KLGCC Resort, Petaling Jaya, Bandar Sunway, Cyberjaya, Wangsa Maju, Bayan Lepas, and more.

Keep in mind it only runs during specific hours, which vary depending on the location. Best to check the app before planning your ride!

Using Kumride is pretty straightforward. You just pick a zone, choose your stops, and pay with cash or through Kumpool Wallet, which needs a minimum top-up of RM10.

The rides can be super cheap too — starting as low as RM1!

If you're wondering about Kumpool, it's been around longer and uses larger vehicles (10+ seats) for short rides within mini zones, about 3km in radius

It's like a mini shuttle service where you share the ride with other passengers, making it budget-friendly.

Both Kumride and Kumpool are available on the Kummute app, which you can download from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
