According to Bernama, Amirul Iskandar Norhanizan, a fourth-year cadet, may also be required to repay all scholarship funds he received from the university.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin stated that the Investigation Board had completed its investigation into the case, and the cadet's punishment was decided yesterday, 12 November.

He emphasised that the ministry would not compromise on the matter and they would take strict action, including expelling the cadet from UPNM.

"We will also demand repayment of all financial support provided during his training as a cadet at UPNM's Military Training Academy," he told a press conference at the Defence Ministry yesterday.
