Trading card games (TCGs) are an exciting and nuanced pastime

The simple cardboard cards beckon players to gather and experience the magic together as they shuffle their meticulously crafted decks and spend hours outwitting one another. Another interesting aspect of trading card games is the thrill of chasing a rare card through trading or cracking packs.

On the other hand, the hobby can prove to be rather pricey for some, stifling the intentions of many.

However, this one viral video game has offered TCG enthusiasts a way to satisfy their hobby.

TCG Card Shop Simulator was recently released on Steam and took the world by storm

This simple video game allows players to set up and run their own hobby store focused on multiple TCGs, steadily expanding their store with more products and exciting events, hosting players on a daily basis.

However, the best aspect of the game is the thrill of cracking packs, as players can pull expensive cards to their ever-growing collection or sell them to customers through the display counter. This aspect of the game is crucial as it provides the undeniable excitement of opening booster packs, regardless of the TCG you play.

The keen-eyed among you might have already noticed a familiar currency

The game offers the typical currencies of the US dollar, Euro, Japanese yen, British pound, Canadian dollar, and more. However, the most interesting of them all is the inclusion of MYR. Yes, Ringgit Malaysia.

In fact, even the banknotes are actual Malaysian notes. See for yourself:

Apparently, the sole developer of the game is a Malaysian

According to a Reddit post by the developer, OPNeon, they are a game developer based in Selangor and intentionally included the Malaysian currency as a nod to the country.

This might seem trivial, but with the worldwide success of the video game, it's nice to have our currency in the eyes of the world.
