In case you haven't heard — Coldplay is coming to Malaysia!

And easily said, it's not been the smoothest journey ever since it was announced that they'll be landing on Malaysian soil this November.

Nevertheless, lead singer of the British pop-rock band, Chris Martin, recently sat down for a brief interview with radio DJs Anne Jacyntha and Arnold Loh of the HITZ Morning Crew to discuss the upcoming concert.

From his thoughts about the band's first-ever performance in Malaysia to learning Malay-lingo in preparation for the concert, Martin even talked about how the group plans to handle the humidity and literal heat of the country.

"I feel so excited, I feel so grateful. We're so lucky with what we get to do, and one of our goals this time around was to try and come to places we haven't been before, maybe places that are a little difficult to play. Kuala Lumpur is somewhere we've dreamed about coming to for a long time, and I'm just really buzzing and happy that we were able to come and visit," said Martin in the interview.

However, a particular moment that stood out from the interview was when the DJs asked Martin if he had any message to send to his Malaysian fans

Seemingly addressing the controversy that has surrounded their upcoming performance in Malaysia for a while now, Martin mentioned how much the group has loved and respected Malaysia from afar for a very long time.

"Every time I meet Malaysian people, I feel such a sense of love and warmth. Everybody is welcome to our show. We love all people, all kinds of people, all religions.

"All leaders, all followers — nobody is excluded. We really want you to come to our show and feel free to be yourself and feel free to let everybody be themselves.

"Anyone who is not happy we are coming, we're sorry, but we love you too," said Martin before concluding the interview.
