From OGs like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans to recent additions like Chadwick Boseman and Brie Larson, these guys have fronted the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) since its humble beginnings in 2008. It's almost unthinkable to consider any other actor filling their superhero-sized shoes.

But... what if the MCU films are shot in Malaysia instead?

In a series of tweets, Twitter user @MeorAiman95 tries to reimagine what the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy would look like if they were played by local actors:

1. Shaheizy Sam as Captain America

2. Rosyam Nor as Iron Man

3. Zul Ariffin as Thor

4. Fazura as Black Widow

5. Hairul Azreen as Hawkeye

6. Syafiq Kyle as Hulk / Bruce Banner

7. Izzue Islam as Loki

8. Aeril Zafril as Bucky Barnes

9. Beto Kusyairi as Falcon

10. Bront Palarae as Doctor Strange

11. Afdlin Shauki as Wong

12. Syukri Yahya as Black Panther

13. Maya Karin as Captain Marvel

14. Aaron Aziz as Vision

15. Nora Danish as Scarlet Witch

16. Zizan Razak as Ant-Man

17. Lisa Surihani as Wasp

18. Remy Ishak as Star Lord

19. Raja Ilya as Gamora

You might remember Raja Ilya as the actress who claimed she had been cast for a secret Marvel project in February 2017. However, she later said that she'd turned down the role in March 2018 after revealing that she was simply preparing for auditions.

20. Awie as Drax

21. Janna Nick as Nebula

22. Amyra Rosli as Mantis

23. Syamsul Yusof as the voice of Groot

24. AC Mizal as the voice of Rocket Raccoon

25. Last but not least, Mustapha Kamal as Thanos
