A woman recently went viral after divorcing an abusive partner and showcasing her celebration on social media

On 16 September, Twitter user @airawr_, also known as Aira, wrote, "Divorce is always seen as a bad thing. But it's not a bad thing when you're finally free from abuse. So here is me celebrating freedom. Thank you, girls. I just wished I had the brat here too."

The tweet has since garnered over 1,200 retweets and 3,300 likes.

Aira shared several photos of a small celebration she had with her girlfriends and it looks hella fun

You can see them enjoying a high-tea session together with everyone dressed in different shades of pink.

They even had a quirky balloon that said, "Fabulous Mrs to Ms".

Netizens showered her with kind wishes and congratulated her for the new-found freedom

One person wrote, "Congrats!!!! Honestly, it's just society making divorcing your partner sounds (sic) like a shame, especially for women. I am glad you are free from all the abuse in the past, everything will be better now."

Another Twitter user said, "This is definitely something new but life is too short to be unhappy so celebrate every win you have. Congrats for making the right choice!"

"Love this. You know what, abuse or non-abuse divorces should be celebrated. Celebrate new beginnings, new friends, meeting new people. Normalise moving on without having grudges with each other. Why set a term for it? Congrats to you dear!" said another netizen.

We're so happy for you!
