In-flight entertainment took on a whole new meaning when several celebrities treated passengers to a mini 'concert' over the PA system during a recent AirAsia flight

Grammy Award-winning composer, producer, and musician David Foster, accompanied by singers Michael Bolton, Katherine McPhee, Peabo Bryson, Loren Allred, and Malaysia's esteemed songstress, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin were on board a recent flight to Singapore for their sold-out David Foster and Friends concert.

The group of celebrities had just concluded the same show at the Mega Star Arena in Kuala Lumpur on 7 August.

Taking over the PA system, Foster began passing it around to the artistes on the plane, allowing them to belt out a few seconds of various songs

In an Instagram video posted by AirAsia crew member Victor Wong, passengers were treated to performances of hits, including A Whole New World, I Have Nothing, When A Man Loves A Woman, I Swear, and Never Enough.

Siti also sang her popular number, Aku Cinta Padamu, which received applause all around.

Several passengers can be seen whipping out their phones to record the rare occasion.

Towards the end of the video, Foster thanked AirAsia and walked to the back of the plane to say 'hi' to the rest of the passengers.

Not long ago, an AirAsia flight attendant also took the opportunity to entertain passengers:
