On 20 and 21 September, Endeavor held their 40th Virtual International Selection Panel (vISP) to select entrepreneurs whose businesses have the potential to grow

As the leading global community of, by, and for High-Impact Entrepreneurs, Endeavor is on a mission to build thriving entrepreneurial ecosystems in emerging and underserved markets around the world.

Since launching its operations in Malaysia, Endeavor actively supports 93 companies, collectively generating billions in revenues and 20,000+ in jobs since selection.

Held annually, the ISP, on in this case, vISP, is the final round of a rigorous multi-step selection process to identify high-impact entrepreneurs from all over the world.

During this process, Endeavor seeks founders who demonstrate the potential to leverage Endeavor's resources and mentorship to create large-scale wealth and jobs, as well as those who are committed to reinvesting time and resources into their local ecosystems to help build the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Representing Malaysia, Ang Xing Xian, Darrel Ang, and Edwin Tan (Co-founders of CapBay) were announced as three of the selected entrepreneurs who unanimously passed the selection panel at this year's vISP

Founded in 2016, CapBay is a platform that connects investors and banks to small and medium businesses in need of financing.

Through its proprietary credit-scoring algorithm, it provides businesses with the financing they need to grow, and offers banks and investors the medium to participate in high-quality financing opportunities.

The three co-founders were among the 15 global entrepreneurs who made it through the selection panel.

CapBay will now be receiving unwavering support from Endeavor to help scale their company bigger and faster. The platform will gain exclusive access to comprehensive and strategic support services, including introductions to global business mentors, as well as investors who will help them address key needs.

"The ISP was a real eye-opener for us that will significantly influence our business operations moving forward. It's a rare and unique opportunity to subject your business to rigorous scrutiny and gain valuable insights from industry trailblazers across the globe," shared Darrel.

He further added, "This significant milestone marks a pivotal point in our journey since becoming part of the inaugural batch of Endeavor Malaysia's Scale Up programme back in 2019. Despite the challenges of coordinating across multiple time zones, the knowledge and connections gained during the ISP have been invaluable."

One of the vISP panellists, Drew McElroy (Co-Founder & Chairman of Transfix), shared some insight as to why CapBay was chosen

"CapBay's founders are an impressive group with a clear, admirable, and purposeful narrative. Their personal motivations behind CapBay's inception reflect a commitment to both financial success and meaningful impact. It's truly inspiring to witness their dedication to not only generating profits but also making a tangible and positive difference in the world.

"CapBay embodies the essence of responsible entrepreneurship, where financial prosperity aligns harmoniously with creating real, lasting value — a philosophy that resonates deeply with the Endeavor community's ethos of fostering impactful and sustainable entrepreneurship," he said.
