A Singaporean-based professional eater is back with his newest YouTube video — this time to tackle a late night favourite for all Malaysians

No stranger to taking on eating feats in great proportions, professional competitive eater Zermatt Neo made a trip to Kuala Lumpur to face off in his newest challenge — that happened to be suggested by his viewers.

Paying a visit to Om Burger located in Ukay Heights, Ampang, Neo introduced his video by saying that he and his team will be taking on the challenge of trying to consume 50 Ramly burgers.

"It's just a whole different experience eating it here and eating it in a restaurant in Singapore," Neo described. Neo and his team then moved to Naan Corner Restaurant, located behind the Om Burger vendor stall to begin their challenge.

Describing his order of the 50 burgers, Neo mentions that he selected an assortment of combinations, which included everything from chicken to beef, extra cheese, and much more

After opening one of the packets, Neo described the item as "the sloppiest burger he has seen all his life."

Starting the challenge with two members of his team, Neo immediately detailed how good the burgers tasted. "Although they don't look that thick, they're extremely, extremely rich," he said.

When discussing the size of the burger, Neo stated that they were huge, though the taste builds in spice over time.

As he unwrapped each burger, Neo displayed how amazed he was that each burger still maintained its heat despite sitting on the table for an extended period.

Speaking to other customers in the restaurant, Neo complimented the taste of each burger, saying, "You can't find this kind of Ramly [burger] in Singapore."

At the end of the challenge, Neo successfully managed to eat 35 Ramly burgers, which totalled up to an estimate weight of 8.7kg

The remaining 15 burgers were split unevenly between three members on his team.

"I should have listened to the locals when they told me that 20 Ramly [burgers] is already crazy. I really underestimated the weight and size of these burgers — because they look small, but are packed and dense," he stated.

In his concluding thoughts, Neo revealed that the total weight of all 50 burgers was above 10kg worth of food, with the edited caption on the video estimating the total at 12kg, due to the sauces and additional ingredients added.

Neo also notified his viewers that he would be exploring more of the food scene in Kuala Lumpur over time, telling his fans to stay tuned for future videos.

Rooting for him in the comments section, many Malaysians and Singaporeans alike bonded over their affinity towards Malaysian Ramly burgers

A large portion of the comments came from Singaporeans who gushed over Malaysian Ramly burgers, noting how much variety there is for orders here.

"The way Malaysians make Ramly burger is the effort you can see. They add on vegetables [and] caramelised onions just to make it more special. The way the abang makes it almost feels like an art!" said one YouTube user in reference to the stall vendor.

"Ramly is the best street burger! In Malaysia, you can order triple daging special," said another user in reference to their beef burgers.

One Malaysian user jokingly wrote how Neo ate more Ramly burgers in one sitting than he did in an entire year.

Nevertheless, another user expressed how Neo 'helped' her after watching the video, "Watching you eat really helped me with my diet!"

Tempted by the video, another user candidly expressed how he was enticed to go out and get himself a Ramly burger at 10.20pm.

"I'm contemplating whether to go out and buy my own Ramly burger despite just having my dinner two hours ago... this video is evil," they wrote with a laughing emoji.
