1. Thong Kee Café @ Glenmarie

Thong Kee is a very well-known kopitiam in PJ, which has since branched out to multiple areas, including Glenmarie.

They serve fresh croissants and buns, and they're known for their delectable range of coffee drinks. Lots of regulars also frequent this stall at the kopitiam that sells nasi lemak too!

2. Restoran Fullhouse Seafood @ Kampung Subang

Fullhouse is a dai chow restaurant located in Kampung Subang, and like its name, the restaurant is almost always crowded. So, make a reservation if you'd like a table during peak hours. 

The lady boss even sells frozen food like siew mai, pau, braised pork belly, and more which she prepares from scratch.

3. Sen Kee White Coffee @ Taman Sri Muda

Sen Kee White Coffee has a variety of stalls including an extremely popular char kuey teow stall that was previously located in Jalan Batai, Damansara Heights.

Other than that, the kopitiam is known for its rich, foamy iced white coffee, usually served in a glass mug with a saucer.

4. Chicken Cuisine @ Glenmarie

Operated by a couple, Chicken Cuisine offers a wide range of Chinese food. However, what sets them apart from the rest is that they serve really good curry noodles, Hakka mee, and nasi lemak.

Although many have shared that the food is a little pricey, they're still pleased with the quality and portions served.

5. Teck Kee Bak Kut Teh @ Kampung Subang

Unlike other bak kut teh that give off strong, herbal tastes, Teck Kee's is light and just nice. Those who frequent their restaurant always ask for refills.

You should also try their dry bak kut teh as well, where they cook their pork meat with salted fish, dry chillies, and dark soy sauce. Instead of your usual white rice, opt for their onion rice instead, which goes so well with all their dishes.

6. Restoran Happy Family @ Setia Alam

Happy Family is known for their affordable prices and prepares their dishes fast. So, if you're craving crabs, prawns, or sotong, give this place a try!

7. Meng Kee Char Siew @ Glenmarie

Meng Kee Char Siew serve their char siew and roast pork in thick slices, with an equal amount of fat and meat, hence their high price tag. Despite bad rumours circulating the kopitiam in recent years, Meng Kee Char Siew continues to bring in crowds and get lots of love and support from office folks as well as regulars.

It's worth a try if you love your char siew charred and thicc. :p

8. Kheng's Kopitiam @ Kota Kemuning

A go-to breakfast spot, Kheng's Kopitiam has a wide range of food, including kaya toast, half-boiled eggs, nasi lemak, sandwiches, fried rice, and more. The star of the show is their fried bee hoon topped with omelette along with a bowl of chicken curry. Regulars love their Hainanese coffee too.

9. Ah Or Chu Yuk Fun @ Setia Alam

If you're looking for a bowl of flavourful soup in Shah Alam, check out Ah Or Chu Yuk Fun, known for their delectable pork noodles soup.

Their pork noodles are said to be heavenly, and come with a generous amount of pork slices and innards. In fact, they recently opened a branch in SS2 as well.

11. Restoran Lan Je @ Setia Alam & Kota Kemuning

Restoran Lan Je is a pretty popular dai chow restaurant and is especially known for their steamed fish. And they have numerous branches across the state, including two branches in Shah Alam. Not only are their dishes affordable, but yummy too!

Kedai Makanan Sri Kota has a plethora of hawker stalls available. Plus, they operate until late at night, with different food choices available throughout the day. Regulars recommend their wan tan mee and fish head noodles.

14. Uncle Vincent's @ Bukit Rimau

Uncle Vincent's serves a variety of noodle dishes, including their most loved dish – prawn mee. Other than the rich flavours of prawns, the broth is also packed with porky flavours, to give an overall full-bodied bowl of har mee.

Besides that, Uncle Vincent's pork noodles and char kuey teow are all the rave too.

Lim Fried Chicken first started off in Subang Jaya before expanding to other areas like Shah Alam.

They're known for their fried chicken, which are juicy, succulent, as well as well-spiced and they go really well with their curry and sambal. They also serve good mutton curry and stir-fry cabbages.

20. Only U @ Glenmarie

Only U is known for their curry noodles and prawn mee. What sets them apart from the rest is that instead of serving their curry mee with chicken slices or char siew, you get delicious roast pork!

When you visit, make sure to try their pork innards soup too, boiled with lots of pepper, so you'll get that punch at the back of your throat.
