Take a breather and head to this hidden bar and restaurant in KL.
Potions & The Laughing Pool is a speakeasy in Chinatown that recently extended its space, so customers can enjoy their drinks and meals while sitting by a pool
The restaurant is not halal-certified simply because the bar serves wine. However, its chefs use halal meat and ingredients.
Potions shares the space with its sister cafes Timothy and Kafe Kleptokrat, so you'll be able to find everything from food to desserts and cocktails.
It serves mainly Malaysian traditional cuisine with a twist, such as Pak Cik Alam Lontong Kering, Nasi Lemak Soft Shell Crab, Laksa Johor, and more
In addition, you can look forward to a new Malaysian-inspired grilled menu soon.
If you're not in the mood to sit outside, there's an indoor seating area, where gin, wine, and 'enchanting' cocktails are served
Finding the entrance is exciting in itself. Much like entering into The Chronicles of Narnia wardrobe – this space looks unassuming on the outside but extends into a magical atmosphere.
It shares an entrance with Kafe Kleptokrat, so all you need to do is look out for a wooden vintage door with stained glass.
