Attorney General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar said the final decision on the appropriate charges will only be made after the AGC has thoroughly reviewed the findings of the police investigation, reported NST.
Dusuki said the AGC expressed deep regret over the tragedy and was disappointed that, despite strict measures taken in past fatal road accident cases, including murder charges, there seems to be little deterrence among reckless drivers.
Meanwhile, Transport minister Anthony Loke urged the police to expedite their investigation and submit the investigation paper to the AGC as soon as possible.
