Grocery Store Owner In Ipoh Caught Selling Eggs At RM1 Each
He is said to be facing stern action.

A grocery store owner was caught selling eggs at RM1 each after customers reported the matter to the Perak authorities on Friday
According to Saifullizan Kamarul Zaman, who is the Perak director of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP), a team of five enforcement officers conducted a check at the premises.
"There was a sign showing the price of eggs was RM1 each without stating the eggs' grades and a total of 114 eggs were on display," Saifullizan was quoted as saying by Bernama earlier today, 11 April.
The trader is said to be facing stern action for what can be considered an act of price gouging amidst the Movement Control Order (MCO)
A notice under Section 21 of the Price Control Act and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011 has been issued to the trader to provide information on the sale price of eggs at his premises before 16 April.
The Perak KPDNHEP director said that action will be taken against the trader for failure to do so.
According to Saifullizan, the trader could also be investigated under Section 12 (1) of the Consumer Protection Act 1999 for misleading the public by not stating the eggs' grades.
