Daughter Buys A Modified 'Ambulance' Van For Dad With Cancer To Jalan-Jalan In Indonesia
The van is a Daihatsu Luxio that has been modified to accommodate a medical stretcher.
Recently, a video of a woman purchasing a modified 'ambulance' van for her bedridden dad in Indonesia went viral on TikTok
In the video, the woman, @mutiarapriza, is seen setting up a modified Daihatsu Luxio that is complete with a stretcher and other medical equipment that allows her to take her father along on adventures.
Mutiara said that aside from the mandatory check-ups via the hospital's van, her father had not left their house in over four months. She added that her father has always been the adventurous type, frequently going out when he was still healthy.
However, since he was diagnosed with plasma cancer, he is unable to sit in a car for long periods without experiencing pain and discomfort, wrote the woman in the caption of the video.
She hopes the new van will provide her father with strength to see the outside world everyday.
In the video, the family is seen visiting their father's favourite food spots and having a great time together
Driving around the city of Malang, the daughter packed her family into the van and set off to their first stop, her father's favourite noodle shop.
Due to their circumstances, the family had to eat their noodles in the van. The family is seen having a great time despite the lack of space in the van. The family then got ice cream at their next stop.
"It makes me happy to see my dad eat well," wrote Mutiara in the video.
"Dad, I will always fight for what makes you happy because I love to see you smile."
