The photo of a letter dated 2019 informing Form 5 male students of SMK Seksyen 4 Bandar Kinrara, Puchong that a mandatory penis inspection will take place, recently went viral again

A student had uploaded the letter three years ago but it has found its way on social media again.

The letter states that the Ministry of Education (MOE) required the school to carry out the inspection on all male students, in accordance with "Health Code 6.9".

The inspection was scheduled to take place on 20 March 2019 during assembly.

"All circumcised males should report to the Disciplinary Room (280), and all uncircumcised males should report to the Media Room (273)," it stated.

The letter also emphasised that if male students did not attend the inspection, they would not receive their 2020 SPM certificate.

The directive also asked students to "ensure all penises are clean and orderly, as there will be no special circumstances."

"Note that SPM SLIP 2020 will not be issued by the Ministry of Education to any individual with an erection," it read.

On Wednesday, June 15, the school clarified that neither the school nor the MOE had conducted such inspections in 2019 and was unsure why the student wanted to play such a prank

The school's executive senior assistant Muhammad Asri Heman told Sinar Harian that Form 5 students were initially concerned over using the school toilets because they believed that someone would check their private parts.

Muhammad Asri said action had already been taken against the student and that the matter has been resolved.
