Media Prima Bhd is considering moving out of its Balai Berita office in Bangsar as part of its transformation plan aimed to land the Group on a robust and sustainable business model for the medium to long term

Announced on 4 June this year, the prospective move is the next phase in the Group transformation plan, the company said in a press statement on Wednesday, 15 July.

According to the statement, the Group determined that it does not require the existing space capacity as its workflow efficiency has improved due to the several initiatives it has taken to revise revenue models and operational changes to address cost inefficiencies arising from work duplication.

"Total office and studio spaces for all four locations are over one million sqft, which is above required space. As such, Media Prima does have plans to consolidate its operations into three locations namely Sri Pentas, Balai Berita 2, and Glenmarie Studios based on workflow and efficient space requirement," it said.
