A six-year-old boy who was reported missing in Johor has been found dead, with his body discovered buried in Jempol, Negeri Sembilan on Monday, 28 July
According to the New Straits Times, Negeri Sembilan police chief DCP Datuk Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said the boy's body was found around 4.30pm yesterday.
"Preliminary investigations showed that the victim was murdered and buried in the Rompin area.
"The suspect led police to the location after being taken into custody," Ahmad Dzaffir said in a statement on Monday after the tragic discovery.
He confirmed that the suspect arrested by the Johor police in connection with the case is the child's biological father.

The six-year-old was reported missing by his father in Taman Bukit Indah, Johor last Thursday, 24 July
Iskandar Puteri police chief ACP Kumarasan Muniandy said the father had claimed his son disappeared around 4pm on 23 July after he left the child alone in a car to buy food.
However, preliminary investigations led police to raise doubts and arrest the father at 12.20pm on the same day he filed the report.
"Following the missing persons report, Johor police arrested a man believed to be the child's biological father, aged 36, at about noon on the same day (24 July) in Johor Bahru, which led to the discovery of the child's body (in Negeri Sembilan)," said Ahmad Dzaffir on Monday, as quoted by Bernama.
