A video showing two middle-aged men trading blows in broad daylight on Jalan Gasing in Petaling Jaya, Selangor has gone viral on Facebook

In the three-minute video, a man clad in a blue shirt is heard swearing in Cantonese at another man clad in a red polo T-shirt.

"P--ai, h-- k- ch--, what are you going to do?" shouts the man in blue.

Provoked, the man in red then slaps the other man.

A furious fistfight ensues with the man in blue hitting the man in red to the point the latter's glasses drop to the ground and he falls.

The man in blue comes out on top of the fight, jeering proudly, "I said you can't beat me in a fight."

Earlier, he can also be heard shouting at the man in red, "How dare you hit me first."

The men decide to stop fighting after they agree to lodge police reports over the matter.

Many netizens likened the altercation to a 'kung fu' fight, specifically a showdown between two Wing Chun masters.

It is learnt that the men engaged in a fight because one of them honked at the other

According to Sinar Harian, Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the two individuals had appeared at the police station to file police reports at 6.31pm on Monday, 30 May.

"Initial investigations found that there was a misunderstanding between the two men and a fight ensued after that. It started when one of the men scolded and slapped the other man," he said in a statement yesterday, 31 May.

Fakhrudin added that the men later resolved the issue amicably and did not want any further investigation to continue

Despite that, the Petaling Jaya district police said in a statement today, 1 June, that they have opened an investigation paper under Section 160 of the Penal Code for committing affray.

If convicted, the suspects could face up to six months in jail, a fine of RM1,000, or both.

The police advised members of the public to be tolerant of each other so that there would not be any fights that could cause them to face the law.
