A customer expressed dissatisfaction after receiving her drink only a quarter full following her request for no ice

Ariy Madri posted a video on her TikTok account showing the quarter-filled cup of drink she had received after asking for no ice.

"This is my first time purchasing food here and ordering a drink without ice, and this is what I received," she said.

Ariy added that when she asked the staff, they informed her that the drink was served that way because she had requested for no ice.

Some netizens commented that the drink was served according to the machine's preset measurement

"If we use a machine, we can't do anything about it because it already has its own measurement. It's different if we mix it ourselves; we can adjust it even though there is already a standard operating procedure. Staff need to inform customers about how much drink they will get," a user commented.

"This type of food and beverage service measures drinks according to a set measurement. It's different if you go to a food stall or a tom yum restaurant where you can request no ice, but the drink measurement remains the same," remarked another.

Meanwhile, others suggested that the drink should still contain a reasonable amount of liquid despite being served without ice

"Even if the drink doesn't have ice, it should still have a reasonable amount of water. I've worked in F&B before, and at least half the cup should be filled," a user said.

"I get that requesting no ice means less water, but this is just too little — there's barely any drink," another added.

"Even so, they could've just added plain water to fill it up," another remarked.

SAYS has reached out to the restaurant for a comment but has yet to receive a reply.
