Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) will be offering 50% off traffic summons in conjunction with the 213th Police Day celebration

On Monday, 23 March, PDRM announced on their Facebook page that they will be launching a five-day campaign starting from 25 March, granting the public a discount on traffic penalties.

People are encouraged to settle their summons online as payment counters are closed during the Movement Control Order

The Star reported that Bukit Aman Traffic Investigations and Enforcement Department director Deputy Comm Datuk Azisman Alias said, "We decided on this measure to help Malaysians better adhere to the movement control order (MCO)."

The discount only applies to summonses for certain traffic offences and all payments can be made through the online portals MyEG or RILEK

Through MyEG, road users can check if they have any outstanding summons and pay for them straight away. Android users can even choose to download the app here for easier access.

Alternatively, you can register on the RILEK portal and pay via online banking. No more long queues and crazy waiting times!
