Samsung Electronics Executive Vice President, Patrick Chomet, recently shed light on the tech giant's latest innovations, focusing on the new products in the Galaxy ecosystem and the evolution of Galaxy AI

During a special roundtable with journalists held in conjunction with the Samsung Unpacked 2024 event in Paris, France, Chomet revealed that at the beating heart of Samsung's innovation is Galaxy AI.

The Galaxy AI, Chomet said, dominates product planning, experience planning, UX, industrial design, and global strategic partnerships.

"Galaxy AI is set to expand to a wider ecosystem of devices, such as wearables, headwear and other communication tools, ensuring a seamless and integrated user experience," Chomet said.

Samsung not only aims to help its users stay productive but also ensure that they enjoy a comfortable and robust Galaxy AI experience

Some of the most recent Galaxy AI features, such as the Auto Zoom function and noise cancellation technological advancements, were introduced in the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and the Buds3 Pro, respectively.

The latest Samsung smartphones, like the Flip 6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, introduce several ground-breaking features, including a modular display, improved camera, and enhanced film quality.

They also come with a larger battery and increased memory, alongside innovative additions like the new Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch 7, and the Watch Ultra, setting new standards in smartphone and wearable technology.

Galaxy AI will be expanded and integrated into over 66 million Samsung devices by the end of 2024

The Samsung Galaxy S series is set to be fully integrated with AI, already available on the Galaxy S22, S23, and S24 series.

Chomet believes that these technologies will have a significant impact on society over the next five years, transforming various aspects of everyday life.

This is because despite the emergence of other wearable devices, smartphones are expected to remain dominant due to their convenience and affordability.

"While new technologies may eventually replace smartphones, this transition is likely to take a considerable amount of time," Chomet explained.

Samsung places a high priority on user feedback when developing new features

The company focuses on simplicity, aiming to make complex technology easy to use.

Last year, Samsung decided to concentrate on AI advancements for the S24 series, demonstrating its commitment to innovation.

"A simple and intuitive user interface is essential for enhancing user experience. We aim to design interfaces that minimise unnecessary information, making tasks easier and faster for our users," Chomet said.

As technology evolves, including advancements in gestures and voice search, market competition intensifies, particularly in regions like China.

Chomet said Samsung's strategy in navigating this competitive landscape is by focusing on maintaining high-quality products and user experiences.

"Improving customer experience remains a top priority for Samsung. We believe that customer satisfaction should be the ultimate goal. Because of this, we strive to create products that meet and exceed user expectations."
