Tesla Just Opened Their New Center In Cyberjaya! Here's All You Need To Know
Potential customers may check out the Tesla Model Y at the Cyberjaya center.
The Tesla Center in Malaysia has been officially inaugurated in Cyberjaya
This two-story facility is designed to offer a comprehensive customer experience to Tesla's Malaysian customers and will be developed in two stages.
During the initial phase, the center's retail section will feature the latest Tesla vehicle models. In the subsequent phase, additional facilities will be introduced for services, deliveries, and after-sales support. The establishment of this center underscores Tesla's dedication to expediting Malaysia's shift towards sustainable energy by providing a holistic and smooth ownership experience for Tesla customers in the area.
Tesla's new Malaysian center is located in Cyberjaya, the heart of technology in the nation
Cyberjaya proves to be a prominent hub for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and a convenient location for both local and international travellers. The Tesla Center is well-connected to major commercial and residential zones through an extensive network of expressways.
It enjoys close proximity to the federal administrative center of Putrajaya and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, facilitating convenient access for customers from the wider region to check out Tesla's latest offerings. At the center, visitors will have the opportunity to view all versions of the latest and most budget-friendly electric SUV, the Model Y.
Investment, Trade, and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz was elated with the launch of the new center
"Tesla's direct presence in Malaysia will spur Malaysia's New Industrial Master Plan 2030's missions to rapidly enable our manufacturing industry to tech up, and push for net zero carbon emissions," the minister said in a launching speech recently.
"More importantly, we are confident that the establishment of Tesla's sales, after sales support, as well as leading battery and supercharging technologies in Malaysia will facilitate knowledge transfer, help elevate our SMEs capabilities that feed into the Tesla ecosystem, and create more high-skilled, better-paying jobs for our people."
According to the Tengku Zafrul, the proliferation of all-electric vehicles in Malaysia has also increased awareness towards electric mobility.
"Tesla's presence in Malaysia has also catalysed public interest and awareness in Malaysia’s electric mobility. I hope Malaysians will share our pride in the launch of the Tesla Center in Cyberjaya today, merely seven months after the first announcement of its entry into Malaysia."
That's not all, purchasing a Tesla comes with many benefits
As part of Malaysia's efforts to encourage eco-friendly transportation and bolster the electric vehicle (EV) sector, Tesla patrons will receive complete waivers on import and excise duties when registering newly purchased zero-emission Tesla EVs.
Furthermore, customers can take advantage of a 100% exemption on road tax and can qualify for individual income tax relief of up to RM2,500 for expenses associated with EV charging facilities for the 2023 assessment year. For companies renting non-commercial EVs, there is the opportunity to claim a tax deduction of up to RM300,000 annually, starting from the 2023 assessment year and continuing until 2025.
