Bethesda has announced that The Elder Scrolls Castles will be released on mobile devices in September, and players can now pre-register for the game

This new mobile game, from the creators of Fallout Shelter, expands on the base-building and citizen management mechanics of Shelter, adapting them to castle-building and kingdom management within the Elder Scrolls universe. Bethesda recently revealed the details of the release in a deep-dive video.

For fans of Fallout Shelter, you'll be pleased to see familiar mechanics in The Elder Scrolls Castles

In this game, you take on the role of a ruler and focus on growing your castle and kingdom. As you expand, you'll unlock new room styles, decorations, characters, weapons, and more to personalise your castle from the ground up.

The game also involves making decisions influenced by your citizens, which can impact your kingdom positively or negatively. You'll manage grievances, encourage citizens to have children, and send them on quests for rewards.

The emphasis on player creativity suggests that there will be plenty of tools to personalise your kingdom and make it truly unique.
