Ben Cullen, also known as 'The Bake King', is a UK-based cake artist renowned for his incredibly realistic cake designs

Originally a tattoo artist, Ben discovered his passion for baking after being inspired by one of his tattoo clients' designs.

His latest creation is a lifelike cake of Moo Deng, the famous pygmy hippo from Thailand that's been making waves online.

In a video shared on his social media, Ben showcases the process of crafting this stunning four-layered cake — expertly carved, coated in chocolate, and moulded to perfection.

Watch it below:

Thanks to his exceptional painting skills, the cake captures Moo Deng's glistening appearance, making it hard to tell the difference between cake and reality

His remarkable talent and eye for detail have made his cakes so lifelike that they're often mistaken for real objects

Since baking his first cake for his dad in 2014, Ben has won multiple awards, including Gold at Cake International from 2015 to 2019. He was also named one of the UK's Top 10 Cake Artists by Cakemasters in 2019.
