Pinkfish Assures Safety Of Attendees Was Top Priority At NYE Event After 4 Dead

The organisers of Pinkfish Countdown 2024 have pledged full cooperation with authorities following the deaths of four individuals who attended the event in Bandar Sunway on New Year's Eve
In a statement on Instagram today, 2 January, they extended their condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased, emphasising their commitment to assisting in the ongoing investigation.
"As the event organiser, we are fully committed to cooperating with the authorities to ensure a thorough investigation into the incident," they said, adding that the police confirmed that the deaths occurred outside the event premises.

They also assured the public that comprehensive safety measures had been implemented, including the deployment of over 100 police officers, trained security personnel, and K9 units at all entry points.
Besides cooperating with the authorities, the organisers said they were also collaborating with relevant agencies to offer support and assistance to the families affected by the tragedy.
