Batman Malaysia denied being arrested for not carrying an identification card.
A video of police officers arresting 'Batman' in Johor has gone viral, amassing over 10 million views on Facebook and TikTok.
But what did the Dark Knight do to get arrested? SAYS reached out to him via a Bat-Signal to find out.
In a conversation with SAYS, the country's own caped crusader, known as Batman Malaysia, declined to reveal his name or day job. Talk about keeping your secret identity safe!
He explained that he is a character entertainer who dresses up as Batman for hire at events, school functions, or any occasion.
In the 13-second viral video, Batman Malaysia can be seen with his hands behind his back while a police officer escorts him into a police car.
When asked about the crime he committed to get arrested at a school in Muar, Batman Malaysia said he is a model citizen and that the arrest was merely a stunt to create content.
"I was invited by the principal of the school, cikgu Muhammad Zaki, to perform the opening act for SK Parit Bunga's 100th anniversary festival.
"The police were there by invitation to enliven the school festival," he said.
Batman Malaysia also denied being arrested for not carrying an identification card, a rumour that had circulated after the viral video sparked speculation.

We then asked about his origin story that kickstarted his career as a character entertainer.
Batman Malaysia attributed his inspiration to Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy, which led him to transform his racing suit into a superhero costume.
Sharing one of his highlights as Gotham's protector, Batman Malaysia recalled going viral in 2016 when he collaborated with Eastern Bobber, a group of bike builders, to create the Batpod.
The vehicle was made for an event invitation in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.
"[While riding to the event] along the Seremban Highway from the Sungai Besi toll plaza, the traffic became congested because many people were excited to see Batman with the Batpod.
"After photos and videos of me went viral, I have been recognised by some people," he said.
Batman Malaysia also revealed his mission to visit all schools in Malaysia to set a new record in the Malaysian Book Of Records.
